তন্ময় চক্রবর্তী উত্তর দিনাজপুর প্রতিবছরই বিশ্ব টিকাকরণ সপ্তাহ 24 এপ্রিল থেকে 30 এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সেই লক্ষ্যে এবারও সেই বিশ্ব টিকাকরণ দিবস শুরু হয়েছে সমগ্র বিশ্ব জুড়ে। সারা বিশ্বের সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে ভারত বর্ষ পিছিয়ে নেই ভারতের প্রতিটি কোনায় কোনায় চলছে এই টিকাকরণ সপ্তাহ। ইউনিসেফের সহযোগিতায় ভারত সরকারের উদ্যোগে উত্তর দিনাজপুর জেলার বিভিন্ন প্রান্তের বিভিন্ন স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে এই টিকাকরণ শুরু হয়েছে জোর কদমে।

এমনই একটি স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে গিয়ে দেখা গেল জেলার কালিয়াগঞ্জ এর রশিদপুরের একটি উপস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে। যেখানে খুব ই উৎসাহের সাথে বাচ্চার মায়েরা তাদের বাচ্চাদের নিয়ে এসে ডিফথেরিয়া, টিটেনাস, পোলিও, হাম, শিশুদের টিবি , হেপাটাইটিস বি, মেনিনজাইটিস, নিউমোনিয়া, জাপানি এনকেফেলাইটিস রোগের টিকা বাচ্চাদের দিতে। জানা যায় সম্পূর্ণ বিনামূল্যে ইউনিসেফ এর উদ্যোগে এই টিকাকরণ পর্ব চলছে খুব ই উৎসাহের সাথে।

জানা যায় প্রত্যেক মানুষ যেন টিকা দ্বারা প্রতিরোধক্ষম রোগ গুলি থেকে থেকে সুরক্ষিত থাকে এবং এই সম্পর্কে জনগণের মধ্যে সচেতনতা গড়ে তুলতে বিশ্ব টিকাকরণ সপ্তাহ উদযাপন করা হয়। আর এর ফলে ইউনিসেফ এর উদ্যোগে ভারত সরকারের সহযোগিতায় কোটি কোটি মানুষের জীবন বাঁচানো সম্ভব হয়েছে। কালিয়াগঞ্জ এর উপস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে গিয়ে দেখা গেল মা তার কোলে করে শিশু বাচ্চাকে নিয়ে এসে আনন্দের সাথে সেই টিকা বাচ্চা কে দিতে ।

টিকা নিতে আসা বাচ্চার মা জানালেন, সারাবিশ্বে বাচ্চাদের সুরক্ষিত রাখতে ইউনিসেফ যে উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে তা সত্যি প্রশংসনীয়। এর ফলে প্রতিটি বাচ্চা তার জীবন সুরক্ষা ক্ষেত্রে অনেকটাই নিরাপদ হবে। বাচ্চার মায়েরা জানান প্রতিটি বাচ্চার মায়েদের উচিত তাদের বাচ্চাদের সুরক্ষিত রাখতে সময়মতো টিকাকেন্দ্রে এসে প্রয়োজনীয় টিকা নেওয়া। ওপর এক বাচ্চার মা পুষ্পা কর্মকার জানান, ইউনিসেফ এর উদ্যোগে ভারত সরকারের সহযোগিতায় যে টিকাকরণ শুরু হয়েছে তা সত্যি প্রশংসনীয় উদ্যোগ।

তিনি বলেন প্রতিটি মায়ের উচিত সময় মত তার বাচ্চাকে স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে নিয়ে গিয়ে টিকা নিতে তবেই বাচ্চার স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষিত থাকবে। তিনি বলেন সবার সামর্থ্য হয়না বাইরে থেকে দামি দামি ইনজেকশন নিয়ে বাচ্চাদের দেওয়ার।

সেই ক্ষেত্রে ইউনিসেফ যেভাবে এগিয়ে এসেছে সারা বিশ্বের বাচ্চাদের সুরক্ষিত রাখার জন্য তা এক নজির বিহীন ঘটনা। রশিদপুর স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রের এক স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিক শ্যামলী রায় জানান, ইউনিসেফ এর উদ্যোগে ভারত সরকারের সহযোগিতায় টিকাকরণ এখানে চলছে খুব উৎসাহের সাথে।

প্রতিটি বাচ্চার মাকে দেখা যাচ্ছে তারা সময়মতো এখানে এসে তার বাচ্চার প্রয়োজনীয় টিকাকরণ নিয়ে যেতে। তিনি জানান এখনকার বাচ্চাদের মায়েদের ভীষন উৎসাহ দেখা যায়।তিনি বলেন তাদের এই উপস্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্র থেকে পোলিও,হাম ,রুবেলা,সহ সব ধরনের টিকা দেওয়ার ব্যাবস্থা করা হচ্ছে। তিনি বলেন ইউনিসেফ যেভাবে বাচ্চাদের সুরক্ষায় এগিয়ে এসেছে তা এক নজিরবিহীন। এর ফলে এখন আর আগের মতন বাচ্চাদের পোলিও , হাম এর মত রোগ দেখা যাচ্ছে না ।তিনি ভারত সরকার ও ইউনিসেফ কে ধন্যবাদ জানান এইভাবে বাচ্চাদের সুরক্ষায় এগিয়ে আসার জন্য।।World Immunization Week is held every year from 24th April to 30th April. The vaccination has been started at various health centers in different parts of Uttar Dinajpur district at the initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with UNICEF. One such health center was visited by a sub-health center at Rashidpur in Kaliaganj district. Where mothers with great enthusiasm bring their children to vaccinate their children against diphtheria, tetanus, polio, measles, pediatric TB, hepatitis B, meningitis, pneumonia, Japanese encephalitis.

It is known that this vaccination drive is being carried out with great enthusiasm by UNICEF. It is known that every person should be protected from vaccine-resistant diseases and World Immunization Week is celebrated to create awareness among the people about this. As a result, millions of lives have been saved through the initiative of UNICEF in collaboration with the Government of India. Going to the sub-health center of Kaliaganj, it was seen that the mother brought the baby in her lap and happily gave the vaccine to the baby. The mother of the vaccinated child said that the initiative taken by UNICEF to protect children around the world is really commendable. As a result, every child will be much safer in terms of their life safety. The mothers of the children said that the mothers of every child should come to the immunization center in time to get the necessary vaccinations to keep their children safe. Pushpa Karmakar, a mother of one of the children, said that the vaccination initiated by UNICEF in collaboration with the Government of India is a commendable initiative. She said that every mother should take her child to the health center in time to get vaccinated so that the child’s health would be protected. He said that not everyone can afford to give expensive injections to children. The way UNICEF has come forward to protect children around the world is unprecedented. Shyamoli Roy, a health official at Rashidpur Health Center, said immunization was being carried out with great enthusiasm by UNICEF in collaboration with the Government of India. The mother of each child is seen coming here in time to get the necessary vaccinations for her child. He said that the mothers of the children are very enthusiastic now. He said that arrangements are being made to vaccinate them against polio, measles, rubella and other diseases from this sub-health center. He said the way UNICEF has come forward to protect children is unprecedented. He thanked the Government of India and UNICEF for coming forward to protect children in this way.
